Custom Driveway, Walk & Estate Gates Fabricated in Miami
A gate is the first thing people see and the piece of your fence that gets used every day, so it has to look right and work right. South Florida Fabrication & Fencing designs, fabricates, and installs custom gates in our own Miami shop: aluminum driveway gates, sliding and swing gates, pedestrian walk gates, and estate-style entry gates, built to your opening, your fence, and your taste.
Because we fabricate in-house, you’re not limited to catalog sizes and patterns. We build gates to match an existing fence, fit an unusual opening, or make a statement at the front of the property, and we can pair any gate with motorized automation.
Types of Gates We Build
- Driveway swing gates, single or double leaf, manual or automated, in aluminum
- Sliding / rolling gates, ideal for short driveways and sloped approaches where a swing gate won’t clear
- Cantilever gates, commercial-grade sliding gates with no ground track to jam or flood
- Pedestrian walk gates, matched to your fence style, with quality latches and hinges
- Estate & entry gates, arched tops, finials, scrollwork, custom panels, and integrated address or monogram details
- Pool gates, self-closing, self-latching gates that meet Florida pool barrier requirements
- Commercial security gates, heavy-duty framework, access control ready
Aluminum Gate Styles
Aluminum gates are lightweight, never rust, and need almost no maintenance, the right choice for nearly every Miami home, especially near the coast, and easier on gate motors because of their lower weight. For a heavier, more substantial look, we build aluminum gates with larger profile rails, finials, and scrollwork that give the same classic estate feel as traditional ironwork, without the corrosion or upkeep. See our dedicated aluminum fence page for more.
Built to Fit, and Built Not to Sag
The number-one gate complaint is sagging: a gate that drags, won’t latch, or rubs the driveway a year after install. We prevent it with properly sized posts set deep in concrete, welded (not just bolted) frames with diagonal bracing, and hinges rated for the gate’s actual weight. On wide driveway gates we size everything for the real load, not the minimum. That’s the fabrication-shop difference.
Automation & Access Control
Any gate we build can be automated. We install and service gate motors for swing and sliding gates, along with keypads, remotes, intercoms, and vehicle sensors. If you’re planning to automate now or later, tell us during the design stage, we’ll build the gate and set the posts to accommodate the operator from day one. Full details on our gate automation and repair page.
Permits & Setbacks
Gates are part of the fence permit in Miami-Dade, and driveway gates in particular have setback and swing-direction considerations (a gate can’t swing into the public right-of-way). We check all of this as part of our permit and design consultation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you build a gate to match my existing fence?
Yes, matching gates to existing aluminum, wood, and chain link fences is one of the most common jobs we do.
Swing or sliding gate for my driveway?
Swing gates need clearance to open; sliding gates need room along the fence line to travel. Short driveways, slopes, and tight lots usually favor sliding. We’ll recommend the right type on site.
How long does a custom gate take?
Fabrication time depends on design complexity. Simple gates can be quick; ornate estate gates take longer. We’ll give you a realistic timeline with your quote.
